NIT Jalandhar Scholarships
NIT Jalandhar offers scholarships and financial assistance both for students studying at the undergraduate and postgraduate level programmes. For undergraduate courses, it offers Merit scholarships and Merit-cum-Means scholarship to the students.
The duration for a Merit scholarship is one year and a total number of 23 Scholarships are awarded in each academic year. Also, the duration for Merit-cum-Means scholarships is 4 years and a total number of 47 Scholarships are provided every year.
There is a D. M. Sen Memorial Scholarship amounting to Rs 250 per month on Merit-cum-Means basis. The institute provides several other scholarships and loans such as National Scholarship for Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes students, State Govt.
Scholarships, National Loan, Engineering Education Loans etc. Almost half of the UG students of the college enjoys one scholarship or other. The college has also a Student’s Aid fund, which renders financial assistance to the economically weak students.
For Post Graduate programs the college provides a Scholarship amounting Rs 1,800 per month to all full-time students admitted to the courses through GATE, except those who are sponsored by the industries.
The scholarship is given for 18 months. The industry-sponsored students won’t receive any financial assistance from any other source during the course of study in the college.

| ONGC Scholarship for ME and CH students | Rs. 5,000/- per month for 3rd Year Topper students. |
| Top Class Central Sector Scholarship for SC/ ST students (GOI Sponsored) | Annual income is less than Rs. 4.5 Lacs. Top 12 SC students and Top 5 ST students admitted through JEE Main. |
| Post Matric Scholarship for SC students of Punjab | The post Matric scholarship will be awarded by the Punjab Govt. to the SC students whose annual income is less than Rs. 2.5 lacs. |
