Jain University Scholarships
Jain University offers different scholarships in six categories with an aim to encourage talented students in music, dance, academics, sports, literary and physically disabled categories. The University Scholarship Committee selects the students among all the applications who are eligible for these scholarships.
Then, the selected students receive a scholarship offer letter and scholarship acceptance form. Also, the students have to accept or deny the scholarship within the mentioned time frame otherwise the scholarship will be declared invalid.
Some of the popular scholarships provided are:
- Medha – It is an academics scholarship scheme. To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant should be an Indian citizen. The scholarship is awarded in the first year and continues for the subsequent year depending on student’s performance and overall conduct.
- Ekalavaya – It is a sports scholarship scheme. To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant should have passing marks in the qualifying examination and should be a citizen Indian. There is a fixed age limit of 17 years to 21 years. If the player’s performance in the first year is not up to the rank then JUSC can terminate the granted scholarship.
- Natyaswara – It is a music and dance scholarship scheme. To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant should have passing marks in the qualifying examination and should be a citizen of India. The scholarship is awarded in the first year and continues for the subsequent year depending on student’s performance and overall conduct.
- Atharva – This is a literary scholarship scheme. To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant should have passing marks in the qualifying examination and should be a citizen Indian. The scholarship is awarded in the first year and continues for the subsequent year depending on student’s performance and overall conduct.
- Dyumna – This scholarship is provided for specially challenged candidates. To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant should have first-class marks in the qualifying examination and should be a citizen of India. Candidates having visual, auditory or any other significant physical disabilities are eligible for the scholarship. However, the students need to submit a medical certificate as proof of their disability.
- Samasti – This scholarship is provided for community service. To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant should have passing marks in the qualifying examination and should be a citizen of India.
