Campus Facilities at Thapar University
Some of the facilities provided by the university to meet the needs of students are listed below:
- The university’s central library houses a collection of over 89,746 books. It also contains a variety of e-books, journals, magazines, and newspapers for students’ use. It is housed in a 25,000-square-foot air-conditioned space. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, even on gazette holidays. The library’s services are fully automated thanks to a modern web-based library management system.
- Medical Facilities: The Institute provides students with well-equipped health care facilities. It also offers a 24-hour health center and ambulance service to all students and staff.
- Hostels: The University provides advanced accommodation facilities for students. Each block has a high-speed internet connection for students. In the University, there are 8 hostels for boys and 5 hostels for girls.
IS – Students from SAARC countries will pay the same fee as Indian students, which is payable annually.
Charges for air conditioning (Except K-L-M-N) In addition to the non-refundable hostel fee, the annual electricity charges for AC will be US $500 for sharing and US $700 for single.

IS – The students from SAARC countries will pay equivalent fee as applicable to Indian students’ payable annually.
