Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida Admission Process

JIIT offers B.Tech courses for the duration of 4 years under 6 disciplines. The admissions will be both entrance and merit based. For the entrance based admissions, candidates will have to appear for JEE Mains. The candidates who score 60% marks in the qualifying exam are eligible to apply for the admission.

The students who apply for entrance through JEE have to appear for the counseling by the university. Students will not be admitted through the counseling under CBSE.

For the merit-based admissions, candidates will be informed about the counseling. The merit list will be available on the university’s website and also at the campus.

Candidates who fulfill the minimum educational eligibility criteria can apply through both online and offline mode.

• Candidates will be allowed to exercise the choice of only one university at the time of counseling.
• For Biotechnology and Bioinformatics,50% seats will be allotted through JEE Mains and the rest 50% will be allotted on 10+2 merit basis.
• 10% seats at JUIT Waknaghat will be reserved for the students of Himachal Pradesh.

JIIT provides Post graduate degree in the field of technology under 5 disciplines. Candidates who score valid GATE score can apply for the direct admissions. University also conducts admissions based upon the Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET). The seats which will be left vacant after the counseling through GATE will be filled through the entrance test.

The candidates must hold agraduation degree in the concerned disciplines with minimum 50% marks. The test will be held offline mode. PGET is scheduled to be held on June 8.

Application forms can be filled both offline and online mode. The fee for applying for the M.Tech course is Rs.1200/-.

• For Computer Science & Engineering with specialization in Technology & Entrepreneurship, the university will conduct Personal Interviews.
• Candidates will have to submit a write up along with the application forms of not more than 2 pages, highlighting their strengths, prior experience in research, their future career plans and justification why he/she considers himself/ herself suitable for the course.

JIIT offers 5 years integrated courses under 3 disciplines. Admissions are based upon candidate’s rank in JEE Mains. The seats which will be left vacant after the counseling of JEE will be filled through the merit-based counseling.

The candidates who take admissions of the course will be awarded dual degree (B.Tech and M.Tech) by the university. Counseling will be held at theNational level.

Candidates can either apply through the forms available at university website or can avail the forms from JIIT, Noida. The application fee for each course is Rs. 1200/-.

• Counseling for JU, Anoopsar and JUET, Guna under a10+2merit-based will be held at JIIT, Noida.
• For Biotechnology 50% seats will be allotted through JEE Mains and the rest 50% will be allotted on 10+2 merit basis.
• 10% seats at JUIT Waknaghat will be reserved for the students of Himachal Pradesh.

The university offers Management degree under 6 disciplines. The candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree with 50% minimum qualifying marks.

Selection will be based up on the national level Management entrance exams conducted by the State/ Central Government, followed by GD and Personal Interview.

Application forms are available in both online and offline mode. The application fee for the course is Rs. 1000/-.

• The program includes 6-8 weeks of corporate internship and 4 weeks of thesocial internship as amandatory requirement.
• Candidates graduating by July 31 can also apply for the admission but must prove their eligibility latest by September 3.

JIIT offers Ph.D. in 8 different disciplines. Admissions will be based up on the Research Entrance exam conducted by the Government at All India level and also through the entrance exam conducted by the institute.

Candidates who score 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam can apply for the admissions to the research courses at the university. The minimum duration of the course is 3 years.

The written entrance exam will consist of theobjective as well as subjective questions. The applications can be submitted in both online and offline mode. The application fee for each course is Rs. 1000/-.

• All the eligible candidates will have to give a short presentation before the interview committee in the area of research interest.
• Financial support may be provided to full-time Ph.D. scholars in form of Research fellowship.
