IIT Jammu – Indian Institute of Technology Campus Facilities

Temporary Campus at Paloura, Jammu:

IIT Jammu started in the same year 2016 with 82 under graduate engineering students in a temporary campus which is located in Paloura, Jammu while the construction activity started at Jagti alongside. Paloura Campus has been a Kalamkari Charity Society (KCS) premises which was remodelled to facilitate the temporary campus for IIT Jammu.

Paloura campus has complete facilities to fulfill academic and personal potentials of students with a conducive environment to live and learn. The facilities include hostel accommodation for all students, cafeteria, digital classrooms, library, laboratories, laundry centers, 24 hrs WiFi, a well equipped gym, dispensary, badminton court, basket ball ground, TT table and a common room for recreational activities.

Permanent Campus:

IIT Jammu welcomed 103 students of 2017-18 batch who were the first resident students in the newly established breathtaking campus at Jagti village located on NH44. The 400 acres lush green Jagti campus, about 20 km away from Jammu airport and Jammu Tawi Railway Station, is spread over 25 acres currently with a beautiful landscape closer to Trikuta hills.

As a gift, it affords lovely vistas of the hills which gives an abundance of raw beauty in and around the Jagti campus. The hostels are well equipped for a comfortable lodging and boarding for 650 students.

The on-campus facilities include hostel accommodation for all students closer to academic area, cafeteria, open gym, laundry centers, digital classrooms, ubiquitous anytime WiFi, music room, TT tables, snooker table, dispensary, and a common hall with TV for indoor recreational activities. ICICI and J&K Banks have set up their ATMs alongside the hostels near cafeteria.
