About College
Central University of Karnataka is renowned as one of the premier institutes across south India. It was set up in the year 2009 at Gulbarga, Karnataka.
It had started its academic activities from August in the year 2009.
Central University of the Karnataka was one among the all 16 new universities that were set up by the Government of India in the same year.
- CUK has 654 acres campus, situated near Kadaganchi village in the district of Kalaburagi, Karnataka State. It is claimed that CUK is the first Central University to move to its permanent campus in a short time among the new ones.
- It offers the programs in following five principal areas: Arts, Humanities, Management, Sciences, and Engineering. Currently, the University is running 16 Departments spread in 8 Schools and 1 Centre, and offering 9 Dual degree programs, 15 Master degree programs, 16 Research (PhD) programs.
